Product Details

Built to show what your round really does.

The Spartan Block is a crystal-clear ballistic gel block with a chunky 8 × 8 cross-section. More gel than the FBI Block in a format built for shotgun, rifle, and varied caliber testing.

Use it to watch the entry point, penetration path, wound channel behavior, expansion, fragmentation, and final bullet position without cutting the block apart. The larger block size accommodates rounds that over-penetrate standard blocks. When the gel is consistent, the difference you see is the round.

Each Spartan Block measures 18L x 8W x 8H in, weighs 36 lb, includes a calibration card, and requires no refrigeration. Reusable up to 10x when properly remelted.

The Spartan Block is available in both 10% (FBI BB Calibration Specs) and 20% (NATO BB Calibration Specs) formulations. The larger block size supports extended penetration testing, self-defense load evaluation, and duty ammunition documentation. Crystal clear gel shows the complete wound profile on every shot — entry point, wound channel, expansion diameter, and final penetration depth.
